Dead West is a fictitious tale that chronicles the journey of an unnamed protagonist, a professional hitwoman who believes she is an agent of justice. Her worldview is challenged when she is contracted to assassinate Cameron Walker, a man she comes to realize is a virtuous individual despite her ruthless and cold demeanor. Cameron is the owner of a ranch in Arizona, where he works tirelessly to safeguard wild mustangs. As she spends more time with him, she begins to feel a strong attraction towards him and starts to view him in a positive light. However, when Cameron suddenly disappears during their date, she is compelled to take drastic action to rescue him.

Discover the gripping tale of a hitwoman's struggle between loyalty and love in Dead West by Linda L. Richards. Join her as she questions her values, risks everything to save Cameron, and uncovers the truth behind his disappearance. Will her hesitation cost her everything? Will she be able to save him before another killer is sent to take him out? Could her orders be the result of some political struggle with which he is entangled? Find out now in this thrilling crime novel.

Dead West is an exciting and captivating novel with a suspenseful plot and mysterious twists. The author, Linda L. Richards, deserves commendation for the effort put into creating such an intense and engaging story. One of the standout features of the book is the sardonic and cold narration of the protagonist, which added depth to her character and made her all the more compelling. It was refreshing to see a female lead who was not a damsel in distress but instead took charge and rescued her love interest, Cameron, from danger. Her unwavering resilience and determination to save Cameron were admirable, even though their relationship was uncertain.

Although I found the book to be an engaging and suspenseful read, there were a few aspects that left me feeling unsettled. One of these was the fact that the author didn't provide a backstory for the protagonist, which made it difficult for me to fully connect with her character. Despite her references to a past incident that continues to haunt her, the author missed an opportunity to shed light on how she became a hitwoman and the events that led up to her present circumstances. This lack of information left me wanting more and ultimately made it difficult for me to fully understand her character.

Another aspect was the abrupt end of the story. I was left with more questions than answers, and this too was unsettling.

Overall, I would rate Dead West 4 out of 5 stars. While I enjoyed the captivating and intense experience that the book provided, I found that the number of errors scattered throughout the pages was distracting and took away from the overall reading experience. If it were edited professionally, I would be compelled to give it a 5-star rating. Even though I was disappointed by the lack of information provided about the protagonist's past, I couldn't subtract another star from my rating because the author's writing skills managed to make up for this flaw. Despite its shortcomings, I found the book to be an enjoyable read, and I appreciated the author's engaging narrative style.

Those who have an inclination towards the crime, mystery, and thriller genres will find this book captivating. The level of suspense and complexity of the story are praiseworthy.

The review has ensured the book is a must read. However, I hope the lack of a back story does not affect the reading.

Such an intriguing and thrilling review. When a hitwoman decides to take protect her target rather than carrying out the job. Well done for this review.

This review is fantastic! The storyline sounds intriguing, and I completely agree with the reviewer's observation that the female lead is a refreshing departure from the traditional damsel in distress trope. She takes charge and rescues her love interest, making her a character to root for. I'm already in love with the protagonist and can't wait to delve into this book.

Just the type of book I love to read, the person sent to do evil to another person later falling in love with the said person. Where did Cameron disappear to? I’ll love to read this.

Stories about his women, only surprising and interesting in their own ways. It's most definitely beats that of the men because of the nature and dynamicity.

From what I understand the story is well written and the presence of a strong female protagonist is strong point. I may have some concern about the lack of the background information but I think I could give it a try. Your review is detailed and well organized.
