Just reread the review. The themes and narrative structure make this sound like an interesting read. Although it won't go to the top of my TBR list, I hope to get to it some time. Thanks @Tanaya for a nice review!

I'm almost half way through (after just starting it yesterday), and am enjoying it.
I'm hoping to finish it before the discussion starts!

Also, I love the cover. I just have to say that

When I saw the cover of EATING BULL, my first impression was that this was a non-fiction book whose subject matter would be about the injustices/lies doled out by the food industry. I was quite surprised when I looked further and saw that it was a thriller. EATING BULL has an interesting twist - using an obese protagonist as a poster boy for suing the food industry isn't that surprising but adding a killer into the mix just ramps things up several notches. Good job to Rubin on that one and great job to Tanaya on the review. I'll be adding this one to my bookshelf!

Being obese is a difficult thing to overcome. I have struggled with it myself most of my adult life. I have been able to lose some weight which has helped control the Diabetes I have. This is the first book I have heard of that the serial killer targets obese people. Very interesting indeed. Thank you for the nice review.

I read this book when it was the BOTM and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the great review where you pointed out all the things that made the book special - excellent writing, interesting characters, and the issues of overeating, junk food, and the way obese people are treated. I found the plot very unique and loved Jeremy!

Wow, your review makes this book sound compelling, whereas otherwise, I would likely deem it uninteresting, due to the initial description. Thanks!

I have read the book (it was the BOTM) and loved it.

I agree with you that it's "Equally as interesting as the characters is the multifaceted social issue that they bring attention to".
