Review of E M P Honeymoon
A honeymoon is usually associated with a relaxing vacation somewhere else. But apparently, this is not always the case. What happens if you experience something horrifying during this period?
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a fiction novel that revolves around the newly married couple, Kelly and Tom Turbulo. During their honeymoon, Kelly discovers a toy store that serves as a hideout for terrorists. With that in mind, the couple accidentally discovers the plan to destroy North America through missile attacks. The book shares the couple's actions with different teams as they help save the country.
First of all, one of the things I loved about this book is that it is fast-paced. There are no dull moments in this book since the story gets interesting pretty fast from the start. I also think that the author did a great job in crafting the characters in this book. I think that the characters are wonderfully created, and I can imagine this book becoming a film adaptation someday. I am not normally a big fan of thrillers, but I enjoyed reading this novel.
Aside from that, I think that this book is very easy to read. There are a lot of thriller or action novels that can be a bit overwhelming to read since there will be a lot of action and technical terms. Thankfully, this book managed to be clear and comprehensible while talking about electromagnetic pulses. This also serves to be one of the greatest strengths of this book. In addition to that, I admire the main characters. Kelly and Tom are an ideal couple who chose to help save the country. Discovering something shocking during your honeymoon can be quite intense, but the couple handled it pretty well and they managed to be smart about their next steps to take. I also appreciated that there was a romantic story in this book, but it does not distract the readers from the main plot of the novel.
Overall, I think this is a great book that is thrilling from start to finish. There is nothing I disliked about this book. That is why, I would rate this book a 5 out of 5. I find this book to be exceptionally well-edited since I did not find any errors. Aside from that, I would recommend this book to all readers interested in action, suspense, or science fiction. This book will really keep you hook
