In Max Crypto Revenge by Anthony Silman, Max Golby was the assistant to Dan Rackham, the CEO of Onetelcall, a digital, IT, and cyber security specialist company that had infiltrated and crumpled illegal and criminal rings across Europe. Max had not always been on the side of the law. However, he had been dedicated since his conversion to the good side, leading to the eventual dismantling of the Moldovan drug cartel in Olderbury. After recovering from the injuries from the altercation that followed the Moldovan takedown, Onetelcall spotted some heavy activity going down amongst the Chinese Triads. Dan Rackham was returning from his honeymoon. Max was in the early throes of his romantic relationship with a police detective, Amanda Cotter. However, they were still determined to uproot this new threat in their town. When enemies from the past came calling for revenge, Max was caught in a dilemma.

I must commend the author's language in this book. It was a sophisticated language that carried a classy air. Yet the language was simple enough to be understood and easily followed by readers. It had much detail in its descriptions of the circumstances and dynamics of the story plot. The story had quite a compounded plot that carried intrigue and suspense. The story was almost like a puzzle that required both street and book smarts to solve (the author brought these two spectrums together to produce a sizzling thriller).

The book had a long list of characters that contributed to the compounded nature of the story. The characters represented different sublevels of the story, which the author eventually brought together nicely as one plot. In the middle of the story was the company Onetelcall, which brought a brand of intelligence and FBI vibes. As a character, Max Golby was a pragmatic and brave one that fought for and protected those he cared for. Roger Astell was a character that endeared with his cunning business antics. Characters like Zhu Zimo Snr., Zhu Zimo Jnr., and their criminal cartel added excitement and danger to the story that would keep readers reading.

The characters' dialogues were draggy; they came in long sentences. This made conversations between the characters seem like mini-essays. This situation was not limited to dialogues. Similar mini-essays could be observed throughout the book, especially in places where the author provided story and character backgrounds. These mini-essays could become boring and exhausting to read.

The book was an exciting read. It was a thrilling mixture of crime, intelligence, action, and bursts of romance that spiced up the story. The book was entertaining and insightful, with information about technologically enhanced criminality and cryptocurrencies.

The book was professionally edited. Readers who enjoy crime thrillers would enjoy reading this book. I'd rate Max Crypto Revenge four out of five stars. I took away a star because of the draggy nature of the characters' dialogues.

The book seems to have a very rich plot. Puzzles and suspense excites me. And a spice of FBI? I love it.
Great review
