E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a fast-paced, suspenseful thriller about a newlywed couple, Kelly and Tom. The couple stumbles into a diabolical group of terrorists plotting to wipe out the US and Canada using an electromagnetic pulse (EMP).

The book begins with Kelly and Tom having a good honeymoon in Honduras. Kelly is the younger sister of Senator Michael McBride, and Tom is a police officer from Carson City, Nevada. One day, Kelly goes shopping for a souvenir, and she happens to wander into a store. The store is a front for a terrorist cell, and Kelly luckily escapes them. Tom gets informed. These terrorists were plotting doom on America and Canada. Tom teams up with the CIA to stop the terrorists. Did they succeed in stopping the terrorists before they detonated the bomb? Get the book to find out.

E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a book full of action, suspense, and intrigue. The characters are well-developed and believable. The plot is fast-paced and exciting. These are the key things I cherish most about the book.

I like how Tom and Kelly watched each other’s back, especially when attacked on the beach. I also like how the couple remained united and committed to building a life together, even in the darkest times. I like the use of technology (the smartphone) and the sense of humor in the story. The book is quite educational and informative. I like how Dorothy took the time to explain how EMP works and the potential damage it could cause.
The ending was a bit boring, and many scientific words were used to explain EMP, but they do not warrant my taking away any star from the book. I dislike nothing about the book.

I enjoyed E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom. It is a well-written, suspenseful thriller that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the fiction genre. It again reminds us of the ever-present threat of terrorism. It also explores the potential consequences of an EMP attack. I give the book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because of its numerous positive sides, as mentioned earlier. The book is also exceptionally edited.

I recommend E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer to adults who enjoy suspenseful thrillers and to those concerned about the threat of terrorism.
