Review of E M P Honeymoon
Tom Turbo, a police officer from the Carson City Police Department, and Kelly McBride, the younger sister of Senator Michael McBride, were enjoying their honeymoon on a Caribbean island. While Kelly was exploring various shops and local venues, she came across an intriguing container disguised with an ornate facade and a window displaying numerous toy pigs. Curiosity led her to enter the container, only to discover a peculiar high-tech laboratory hidden inside. However, her exploration was abruptly interrupted when she was pursued by individuals associated with the lab. Luckily, she managed to escape from them.
In another part of the story, a character known as Dear Leader (DL) was plotting to launch bombs on North America and other American locations. It appeared that DL possessed the container that Kelly had stumbled upon. Will Dear Leader succeed in his sinister mission? To find out, read E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer.
The author's remarkable ability to convey simplicity in writing makes this book truly captivating. Transitions between different scenes are easily identifiable, with subheadings for each scene. The book's characters are well-developed, and McBride's affection for his sister and her new spouse is heartwarming. Upon learning of their predicament, he swiftly dispatched two security women to protect them.
The author's portrayal of the villain, Dear Leader, and his partial control over his subordinates is impressively executed. Dear Leader's evil acts, such as killing those who defy his orders and enslaving others, piqued my curiosity about the story's outcome. One character I couldn't help but feel sympathy for is Rhee Su-Jin, an innocent woman sent by Dear Leader on a wicked mission to the island. While I wished she had refused the assignment, I understood that her life would have been in grave danger had she done so.
Among the characters, my favorite is Steve, whose willingness to risk his life to defend his country is truly remarkable. As readers delve into the book, they will discover why Kim Jung Lo deserves the highest praise among all the characters.
I appreciate how the author provides explanations about the Sun Flare incident that occurred in 2012, accompanied by photos and links for further information. Additionally, at the end of the story, the author includes links to her other books and resources that can help aspiring writers stand out. The author's writing style is conversational and engaging, and throughout the story, I couldn't find any flaws or negatives.
The editorial team also deserves credit for their meticulous work, as I found no errors, which means the book was exceptionally well-edited. Therefore, I would rate it five out of five stars. I would recommend it to enthusiasts of fictional stories, as they will undoubtedly find it intriguing.
