The author of E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom, Dorothy May Mercer, perfectly captures the spirit of a newlywed couple's honeymoon that turned into an investigation.

Kelly and Tom are on their honeymoon on a Caribbean island. On their first night, Tom leaves Kelly behind and goes on the dive boat. Kelly decided to do some sightseeing; she took a tour bus and went to this cute shop that changed their honeymoon routine. She finds out that the store is hiding some top secrets, and being married to a cop, she spies and is caught, and now she has to fight for herself. She and her husband were now trying to figure out what the purpose of having such a big secret was instead of having a normal honeymoon routine. To find out what secret they have discovered, you have to read the whole book.

The couples were not relatable, and I do not think I will jeopardize my honeymoon by chasing some goons; I will call the police so that they can do their jobs and have a good honeymoon. But her husband is a cop, and her brother is a senator, so maybe some people can relate to those who are in a similar situation.

Her writing is thought-provoking, inviting readers to think deeply about their relationships and experiences. I liked her description of the book; it was on point. You can have a vision of the actions. What I liked the most about this book was the strong opening. This book’s opening caught my eye. I wanted to know what was going to happen next, what led her into that situation, and what she was frightened of. Because of my curiosity, I read the whole book. I liked that the book did not waste time telling us what the book was; you can tell what to expect by reading the first chapter. Some books take almost half the book to know where the story is going.

I did not like the lack of romance in the book; when reading the title, I expected some romance, but that did not discourage me as I found myself enjoying everything in the book.

Because of the aforementioned factors, I gave this book five out of five stars. Both the writing and the plot of this book were outstanding. Every action that was taking place had an emotional impact on me; I was either happy or worried about them. That's another justification for giving the book a full star. Normally, I don't get emotionally involved. This book was exceptionally well edited, which indicates that it was professionally edited, as I did not find any errors.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense and crime fiction because it features numerous encounters with terrorists that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
