Back in high school and even during college, many of us had experienced those moments when the teacher or lecturer would ask if we understood the material, and some of us would shout "YES!" even if we didn't fully comprehend it, just to move on. However, those exceptional teachers always managed to make us truly grasp the subject matter, and that's precisely how Dr. Kinney's classes were portrayed in this book.

Kelly and Tom, a newlywed couple, were savoring their honeymoon at the picturesque Barefoot Sands Resort and Spa, nestled along the serene Shoreline Road in Honduras. Their days were filled with blissful moments, creating cherished memories together. However, their idyllic getaway took an unexpected turn when they stumbled upon an uncertain event that had the potential to disrupt their honeymoon. Will they be able to navigate through the uncertainty and still find joy in their time together?

"E M P Honeymoon," a captivating novel by Dorothy May Mercer, takes readers on an exhilarating journey through sixteen compelling chapters, with a prologue and an epilogue that adds depth to the story. Numerous aspects of this book captured my attention, making it difficult to encapsulate them all in this review. The characters in the book were the actual highlight, showcasing impeccable depth and complexity. Among them, Kelly stood out as a particularly captivating protagonist. Unlike many female characters depicted as vulnerable, Kelly exhibited remarkable strength and resilience when faced with danger. During a tour on her honeymoon, she stumbled upon suspicious activity at a shop called La Pocilga while searching for a gift for her mother-in-law. Despite the odds stacked against her, Kelly refused to surrender. Even when captured by a muscular man, she summoned her inner strength and managed to escape. I admired her bravery in such a difficult situation.

Dr. Peter Kinney, a prominent character in the book, captured my attention with his remarkable qualities. He embodied the essence of those exceptional teachers who made learning a joyous and captivating experience throughout our academic journey. His ability to transform complex topics into engaging lessons reminded me of those educators we could spend hours with, eagerly absorbing their wisdom. As a tenured professor of nuclear physics at the prestigious State University of Utah, Dr. Kinney's expertise and accolades, including the Nobel Prize in Physics, added depth to his character. He brought forth a pressing concern regarding preparing for severe and uncontrollable disasters.

I found nothing to dislike about this book; it captivated me from start to finish. Moreover, the meticulous editing of the book deserves praise. I did not encounter any errors or inconsistencies, indicating the high attention given to the writing and polishing process. I rate this book five out of five stars. Furthermore, I recommend it to readers who love crime thriller novels with a touch of romance.

I want to read about this couple that had their honeymoon interrupted. Did the interception make it more exciting or did it spoil their supposed good time? Nice review.
