E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer talks about two people who recently got married and decided to have their honeymoon. These people are Tom and Kelly, and they spend their time trying to stop insurgents instead of enjoying their honeymoon.

Tom and Kelly's lives become intertwined with those of a clandestine group of highly skilled individuals, encompassing both American citizens and government personnel. Through a series of serendipitous events, this unlikely assemblage is unwittingly drawn into a web of intrigue that engulfs the United States and a foreign power. As the plot unfolds, readers are treated to a gripping narrative that culminates in an exhilarating showdown—a battle to avert a catastrophic assault on the United States' power grid.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this book is its fast-paced storyline. Mercer's prose propels readers forward at an exhilarating pace, crafting an action-packed thriller that refuses to relinquish its grip. Laden with suspense, the narrative flows seamlessly, enticing readers with its magnetic allure. The author's choice to employ the third-person perspective was a stroke of genius, allowing readers to explore the world through the diverse lenses of the characters. This narrative technique fostered a deeper connection to the story, elevating the reading experience.

The criticism of this novel is scant, with only one minor qualm to note. At times, I found the inclusion of the book's title and the author's name at the beginning of each chapter somewhat excessive. However, it served as a subtle reminder, ensuring that these details remained fresh in the reader's mind. Ultimately, this did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the book, as the story effortlessly flowed from one chapter to the next.

One aspect that undeniably stands out in this book is its excellent and professional editing. Not a single error plagues its pages. Given the novel's underlying theme of global safety, I recommend that leaders worldwide peruse its pages. Mercer sheds light on critical issues that demand our vigilance if humanity is to thrive on this planet. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.
