E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom is a captivating novel by Dorothy May Mercer that tells a story of adventure, danger, and romance. The newlywed couple Tom and Kelly embark on their dream honeymoon but soon find themselves on an unforeseen and treacherous path. Kelly's search for souvenirs on a beautiful Caribbean island leads her to uncover a hidden laboratory in a seemingly innocent store. Inside, she discovers the existence of a dangerous terrorist organization.

What was supposed to be a peaceful vacation turns into a race against time as Tom and Kelly are caught up in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Senator McBride, Kelly's brother, emerges as a key figure, using his political power and influence to help Tom and Kelly in their mission by sending security agents. Cynthia, a CIA agent, also plays a vital role, using her expertise and resourcefulness to aid the couple as they navigate the treacherous terrain of the terrorists' scheme. With her strategic thinking and specialized training, Cynthia is an invaluable asset in the fight against terror. At this point, Tom and Kelly must join forces with the security agents sent to help them confront the evil forces at work.

I like the way the author describes the setting of the Caribbean island and its surroundings. It is so detailed that I can vividly imagine everything in my mind. I also like the characters' complex and multi-dimensional nature, which makes me feel deeply connected to them as I follow their stories. The story also has a chilling undertone that I so much appreciate, which keeps me engaged and invested in the outcome. The novel is exceptionally well-edited, with no errors resulting in a smooth flow of the story that makes it easy and enjoyable to read.

The only aspect of this novel that I dislike is the occasionally unrealistic portrayal of romance in risky situations. Given the danger they encounter, Kelly and Tom's steadfast devotion seems a little absurd at times. Nonetheless, this tiny quibble does not detract from my enjoyment of the story, and I am still totally immersed in the exciting plot and invested in the fate of the characters.

Considering the engrossing, entertaining, and great editing quality of this novel, which surpasses the element I like least about it, I hereby give it a rating of five out of five stars. I recommend this novel to readers who love fast-paced novels with a nice touch of romance.
