E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer takes readers on a thrilling journey into an aura of suspense and danger. Set against the captivating backdrop of Honduras, Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride's honeymoon takes an unexpected turn when they stumble upon Dear Leader's secret base. A high-stakes mission follows to prevent an imminent attack on North America as Tom, Kelly, and their formidable team of allies, Steve and Agatha, race against time to thwart the ruthless Dear Leader and his army.

One of the standout qualities of Mercer's storytelling is her ability to craft unexpected plot twists and inject humor into the narrative. The initial encounter between Tom, Kelly, and Steve had me laughing out loud, and I wished for more moments of levity throughout the book. Despite this, the plot remained captivating from start to finish, driven by an abundance of suspense that kept me eagerly turning the pages. From the moment Kelly inadvertently stumbled upon the base, I was drawn into the story. Mercer's skillful pacing and vivid descriptions heightened the tension, making me hold my breath as Kelly raced to escape. The author's attention to detail and seamless incorporation of suspense ensured that the story never lost its gripping momentum.

I have no reservations about recommending E M P Honeymoon. Mercer's storytelling prowess shines through in this well-edited book that flawlessly combines action, romance, and the perils of technology. The characters, particularly Tom and Kelly, are well-developed and relatable, and their journey becomes an immersive experience for the reader.

Moreover, the seamless integration of relevant present-day themes, such as the potential dangers of technology and the global fight against terrorism, adds depth and relevance to the plot. Dorothy May Mercer expertly weaves these elements together, leading to a narrative that entertains and provokes thought.

Overall, E M P Honeymoon delivers on its promises of suspense, intrigue, and a touch of romance. Mercer's masterful storytelling keeps readers engaged, while the exceptional editing ensures a smooth reading experience. I rate this book five out of five stars. I also recommend it to lovers of sci-fi novels, crime, and action.
