E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a book about a couple embarking on their dream honeymoon on the Caribbean island of Honduras. Kelly and Officer Tom, a detective in the United States of America, are unexpectedly thrust into a heart-stopping ordeal. While innocently shopping for a teddy bear in a store, Kelly encounters a menacing figure with sinister intentions. Narrowly escaping with her life, one would expect her to heed caution and avoid trouble. However, curiosity entwined with bravery leads Kelly and Tom down a treacherous path of international intrigue. Unbeknownst to them, a perilous plot to devastate North America is unfolding, spinning a web of danger that grows more intricate by the minute. A page-turner of a tale awaits as the newlyweds put their honeymoon on hold to protect their country. Their relentless pursuit of justice leads them to a hidden computer lab in Honduras, revealing a covert operation against America. With patriotism aflame, Kelly and Tom rally their resources, seeking to thwart the impending danger towards their Homeland and the people they love.

The positive aspect of this book is the author's emphasis on the characters journey of bravery and curiosity, which compels them to investigate further despite the danger they encountered on their honeymoon. Their relentless pursuit of justice and the protection of their country showcases their patriotism and dedication to their homeland. Another reason I enjoyed this book was because of the character development.

However, the negatives I can draw from this read are the fact that their honeymoon was cut short and more attention was given to stopping the plot against their nation. The author never came back to the romance part of the novel.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because not only is the book readable with no big grammar and heavy words, but the author still did Justice in telling an action-packed story full of thriller and suspense. I will encourage lovers of action and interesting stories to check this great book out. With no errors, this book was exceptionally edited.
