E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer tells the story of Kelly and Tom, two main characters who embark on their honeymoon on the beautiful island of Honduras. Kelly, the daughter of a high-ranking US official, and Tom, a police officer, are excited to start their new life together. However, their romantic getaway takes an unexpected turn when they stumble upon a plot devised by terrorists to cause mass destruction in the United States.

As the suspense builds up, Kelly and Tom find themselves desperately trying to unravel the sinister plot. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Kelly reaches out to her brother, Senator McBride, for help. She quickly provides him with all the necessary details before hanging up, leaving the worried senator determined to assist them. Senator McBride enlists the aid of his capable assistants, including Cynthia, who has valuable connections with government agencies. In addition, he hires two skilled private agents, Sharon and Agatha, and even involves a CIA agent named Steve. Together, this team sets off for Honduras to support Kelly and Tom in their mission to thwart the terrorists' plans.

Author Dorothy May Mercer excels in her writing style, employing a simple yet captivating approach that appeals to readers of all backgrounds. The story successfully combines suspense, action, and romance, maintaining a lighthearted tone despite the serious threat of a nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP). The novel masterfully highlights the negative consequences of such a disaster while keeping readers engaged with its thrilling plot.

However, one drawback of the book lies in the abundance of characters introduced throughout the story. At times, it becomes challenging to keep track of who is speaking during dialogue. Nevertheless, despite this minor flaw, E M P Honeymoon remains an intriguing and entertaining book that keeps readers hooked until the very end.

In conclusion, I rate E M P Honeymoon five out of five stars. This book is exceptionally well edited, and despite its slight flaw in character management, it maintains its interest and entertainment value throughout. I highly recommend this captivating novel to young couples and adult readers who enjoy a blend of romance and adventure in their books.
