Endgame is a novel by William Reeds.

Review: The global struggle against terrorism is the focus of one of the best thriller fiction books, Endgame. There have been numerous unsuccessful attempts to stop terrorism. The storyline about a man trying to put an end to terrorism is intriguing.
The deputy US ambassador in London and devoted family guy Nathaniel Jameson has created a strategy to eradicate terrorism globally. He requires the backing of his boss, the US Vice President, the President, and last but not least, his wife, Sonja, to succeed. The last thing she would consent to is putting their family in danger. However, Sonja changes her mind after the family narrowly escapes a terrorist attack at the London Zoo and accepts Nat's "crazy idea" as a viable option. He sent Ambassador Preston, his superior, a proposition in writing. While Preston's proposal is the only solution that comes close to eliminating terrorists and fanatical Muslims, Nat secretly hopes Preston will reject it. Fortunately, Preston agrees, and the two send the idea to the President, who also accepts it. This plan is so covert that Al-Qaeda is the objective of Operation Endgame, the codename that gave it its name. The fact that only ten persons are aware of the operation demonstrates its secrecy.

I have to be honest and say that I'm not a fan of action-packed storybooks about war or those that are related to it. The book is straightforward to read because of how the author describes each chapter, scene, event, and character in great detail while keeping things basic yet exact. I also appreciate the fact that there was family time in addition to the excitement of the weapons and actions. That highlights the significance of family in all circumstances. I became more interested in the book as a result of the love, camaraderie, joy, and warmth that come with having a family.

The primary emphasis of the book Endgame is terrorism, which has long been a significant global issue. The author provides a detailed explanation of how terrorism originates, how it can be stopped, and its consequences. The plot's extensive exploration of the theme makes it clear to the reader where the story is going. Although, the book's emphasis on the prevalence of social vices and terrorism among fanatical Muslims may disturb adherents of the Islamic faith. But I like how the author cares to emphasize the good qualities of Muslims throughout the story. The author's attempt to offer a fair viewpoint while reflecting the complexity and diversity of the Muslim community is to be applauded.

To locate and eliminate al-Qaeda's headquarters once and for all, Nat finds himself and his allies committing the largest act of deception ever attempted. A nuclear warhead that has been put on hold has suddenly vanished in Russia and cannot be found. Has al-Qaeda succeeded in acquiring a nuclear weapon, as indicated in its mission statement? To win the race against time to locate al-Qaeda's headquarters, Nat must risk his own life as well as the lives of his family members. Will Nat be able to persuade the US administration that his proposal will work before time runs out?

William Reed's Endgame is rated 5 out of 5 because it's a suspenseful, engaging, and intriguing novel. For fans of action thrillers and books about crime in a dystopian society, it's a must-read. Fantastic book!
