Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
Newlyweds Kelly and Tom depart for Honduras' Caribbean Island for their honeymoon. As they patiently wait a very long time to get married, the two are a monument to their love. Kelly's spouse is a police sergeant, and she has a degree in computer science. They hardly have any free time because they are both fully committed to their separate careers. At least they could finally take a break from their routine schedules and have a pleasant time together. Unfortunately, a tragic scene occurs during their stay. E M P Honeymoon is a romantic and crime-fighting novel. The couple had anticipated having the moment of their lives in Honduras, but things took an unexpected turn. Kelly chooses to take a tour of the area while Tom is participating in a sea-diving activity. She attempts to cement her relationship with Grace McBride, her mother-in-law, and her nieces and nephews by buying them gifts. She walks into a shop and can barely spot anyone, including the shop manager. Her curiosity leads her to stumble upon a suspicious room at the back, conducting a criminal operation. She ran into six terrorists who pursued her, but she managed to escape. Kelly describes to her husband the horrific scene she had encountered at the shop.
Tom and Kelly decide to disrupt their honeymoon and join forces with their friends to expose a planned terrorist attack targeting the United States. Their professions are instrumental in preventing the attack. This is a true show of patriotism.
Dorothy May Mercer truly is a gem, as her creativity is evident in the narrative. What I like most about the book are the plot twists. How she managed to twist from an all-romantic to an intense investigative and action-packed thriller portrays the general quality of the book. The novel is suspense-filled, which left me hooked right from the beginning. I commend the author for her efforts in developing the characters. The flow of the book is amazing, and incorporating humour makes it more entertaining.
I was impressed by every aspect of this book. There is nothing I dislike about it. There are no grammar errors or typos; I must applaud the editor for flawlessly editing this novel. There are profane words used. I gladly rate E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer 5 out of 5 stars.
I enjoyed reading this amazing book. I believe anyone will find it interesting. I believe it suits lovers of adventure and action thrillers.
