Review of E M P Honeymoon
E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a thriller. In this novel, themes like love, romance, patriotism, investigation, cooperation, science, and technology are explored. Dorothy's writing skill in E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom is astounding. The content of E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom is evergreen, meaning that it will still be relevant and applicable many years from now. In addition to demystifying terrorist activity, Dorothy Mercer walked us through the process of how an electrical invasion might occur in a nation. What occurs if a developed nation's electricity supply fails? What is the difference between a flare and a superflare, and how susceptible are our devices? Read this fascinating book to find out the answers to these questions.
This book tells the story of Kelly and Tom, who discovered something about a pigsty store just two weeks after getting married. This revelation set the stage for the fiction, leading Kelly's brother McBride to involve Joseph Rench in some finds. This, in turn, sparked a series of investigations that eventually coalesced into a team dedicated to safeguarding Kelly. The order of each of these people to safeguard Kelly became an act of patriotism. There's a field force on the peninsula with a dangerous and covert mission, somewhere on Resort Island. This force is under the command of Dear Leader, and General Lee carries out his commands. A mission on Honduras Island has been assigned to a young female officer. Find out what became of the young lieutenant and General Lee.
I took away a lot of knowledge and principles from this book. One that stood out to me was Rhee Su-jin's flawless leadership of her team and her attention to detail. Su-jin has a strong, driven personality. In this book, teamwork was also stressed. The US squad was a terrific unit; they were accurate, proactive, and driven to achieve their objectives. Steve is a valuable asset and a character to be reckoned with. He is fairly well-versed in practically everything. I also saw that friendship needs to last through marriage. This was evident between Cynthia and Sky and Kelly and Tom.
Dorothy does an excellent job of building suspense. Right from the beginning of the novel, I could not help but run with Kelly. A few of these suspenseful moves were revealed when Su-jin nearly asked Steve Spalding to assist her with the package on the sailboat, when Hua Ming Du found out about Kim Jung Lo's fatal flaw, and when Kim escaped from the force. All of these things kept me curious about what would happen next, so I couldn't foresee how they would end.
There isn't a single thing about this book that I didn't like, but there were a few things that bothered me. One of them is the unfounded basis behind Dear Leader's animosity towards President Bigelow and Northern America. I also admire how Dorothy controlled the chemistry between Steve and Sharon without dwelling on it. I will give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because I found no errors in it, and I must say it was exceptionally edited. I recommend this book to adventure lovers, military personnel, and politicians.
