Toni and Sunney Jameson are on their way to their month-long honeymoon in Sunney's beautiful cabin when Toni runs into a stranger, Quinn, who recently moved into the land near Sunney's cabin. A simple interaction sets off a jealous streak in Sunney. Coupled with that, Toni saw "Andrea and Sunney forever" scrawled on a public bathroom wall. However, Sunney had said he wouldn't bring anyone but his wife to the cabin, so Toni begins to fear the worst. Will the jealousy and doubt ruin what should be the best month of Toni and Sunney's lives? Will Quinn's potential attraction to Toni turn into something more? Kaelin Wennerberg reveals all in The Jameson Cabin.

This book really dove into the idea that everyone is hiding something and how desperation can bring out the worst in people. Each of the characters had a secret side to them. An early example was that Toni had started drinking heavily after killing her boyfriend in self-defense. She had to live with the blood on her hands and found that drugs and drinking seemed to help. However, Sunney tried to help her by restricting her access to alcohol. The dynamic of each character's darkness coming to light drove the plot and kept the pace moving.

One minor negative I must note is that the point of view changed between the chapters, but only some of the chapters were titled to indicate this change. The inconsistency bothered me a bit, and I wish that either every chapter was labeled or none of them were.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The dislike I stated, in my opinion, is not enough to warrant taking off a star from the rating. I thought the characters were well-written. The book kept me guessing until the last page; I never would have guessed the reveal at the end. The themes of betrayal, loyalty, revenge, and trust were woven throughout the novel. I also believe the book was professionally edited; I only noticed a few errors.

This book does contain depictions of violence, strong language, and sexual content. It is only suitable for adults who do not mind such content. If you are looking for a psychological thriller that has a focus on secrets and dark pasts, this is the book for you. Dive in and learn that no one is who they seem to be. This is a fast-paced book that is impossible to put down!
