In E M P Honeymoon, Dorothy May Mercer tells a captivating story about the unusual adventures of a newlywed couple. For their honeymoon, the couple flew to a resort in Honduras, but little did they realize that their tranquil vacation would quickly turn into a perilous survival adventure entwined with an exciting investigation. Kelly McBride was suddenly attacked at a neighborhood gift shop, leading her to suspect the attackers were part of a prominent terrorist group. Kelly, who was determined to reveal the truth, immediately informed her husband, Sgt. Turbolo, and enlisted the aid of her brother, Senator McBride. The entire crew is now involved, and they were relentlessly devoted to solving the complex puzzle so that Sgt. Turbolo and Kelly may resume their honeymoon in peace. But as the narrative progresses, a twist is revealed: Under the mysterious leadership of the terrorist group, Colonel Rhee leaves on a covert operation of his own at the same resort where the couples are staying. In the middle of the catastrophe occurring all around them, can Kelly and Tom save their once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon? This fascinating book contains the answers, just waiting for its enthusiastic readers to find them.

What I liked about the book is how carefully the characters were developed and how expertly emotions are shown in each chapter. Jo's envy of Senator Mike McBride and Kelly's ambition are examined, and their commitment and strength are shown in how well they handle their duties. The book also included instructional material on counterterrorism efforts by special forces.

What I didn't like about the book was how, as the couples get more interested in attempting to find out the terrorists' whereabouts, the honeymoon vibe seems to disappear. There were several characters in the story, and Dorothy did an excellent job of explaining each one. Because of the plot's intensity and excitement, the reader will become captivated by the story's thrills and tension. I was hoping for more romance because the title used the word "honeymoon," but I was let down.

I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. Even though it started to get a little fast-paced toward the conclusion, it wasn't too upsetting overall, and I really loved the book overall. Another plus is that there weren't many errors; the book was professionally edited. If you want to find out how fantastic the book is, pick up a copy since it was selected as the book of the month in December 2019.

I am advising both male and female readers of all ages who enjoy reading about action, the fight against terrorism, and suspenseful tales to read this book.
