Review of Deadly Sands

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Deadly Sands" by Josh Adam.]
Josh Adam, in his book Deadly Sands, reveals a very cleverly crafted masterpiece. This book, a fictional thriller set in the year 2026, presents a world very similar to our current one but very different.
This book centers on the terrorist group ABB, a more brutal successor to ISIS, and the response of the US to what quickly turns into a huge problem. Jaylen, who quickly displays his talent at the agency, gets pulled into a more exciting field when he gets involved with operations concerning Syria. Gabe, facing retirement, gets an opportunity to return to field work in a different manner, while the president, unwilling to risk war for her country, struggles with a decision. Al-Rashid, the now frail but powerful leader of the ABB, is finally in a position to watch his plans come to fruition. With different teams working feverishly on both sides, who comes out on top in this deadly war?
One positive aspect of this book was the author's story-telling skill, which was evident even from the very first chapter, spinning a tale so gripping and intriguing that it grabs the reader's attention and keeps it. Even though the book is fiction, it felt so real, and despite the military and technical terms scattered throughout the book, it was really easy to follow. With the list of acronyms at the end, it was no hardship to understand the book, even for a person with little knowledge of military terms. Also, this book was exceptionally edited, and I could not find any errors in it.
One thing I liked the least about the book, though, was the ending, which was very abrupt. Even though it serves as suspense for a sequel, I did not like that there was no form of closure.
As is predictable at this point, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. There is no reason to rate this book lower. Also, it got a perfect rating because it was a very delightful read despite the ending I mentioned above.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves thrillers and to anyone who likes books on war.
