Jay Magruder, a retired detective, is investigating a cold-case murder-suicide. The victims were a man and a woman who were found dead in their home with stab wounds to the carotid artery. The knife was found in the woman's right hand, but she was left-handed.

Magruder believes the murderer put the knife in the wrong hand to make it look like a suicide. He puts an ad in the local newspaper to see if anyone knows anything about the case. The narrator sees the ad and decides to help Magruder. Will they find the murderer? Was it even a murder? Grab a copy to find out.

Here are some things I like about the book: The plot is engaging and suspenseful. I was interested to see how Magruder would solve the case. The characters are well-developed. I could picture Magruder and the narrator in my mind. The setting is well described. I could imagine the small town where the crime took place. The dialogue is natural and believable. I could hear the characters talking to each other.

I applaud Jay for his hard work and commitment to the case. He was retired and didn't have to look into the case, yet he did. It showcases the type of person he is. He cared so much about his job that he couldn't let the case go. I also liked John's character. He loved his wife and took care of her. He is the perfect husband for anyone. I found nothing I disliked while reading.

The book is blended with mystery, action, and drama. The author explains every detail to perfection. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. There were no grammatical errors, indicating that it was exceptionally well edited. I recommend this book to readers who are fans of murder mysteries. I also recommend it to those who love books about crime and action. Precision by D.C. Scott is the perfect book for that.
