Watched By My Neighbors by Al Copperhead is a psychological thriller which revolves around the main character, Nick Collins. Nick Collins is a machine operator in Cleveland, Ohio. He learns he can make substantially more money going into real-estate investments. He meets and marries beautiful Sara, and they are happily married for six years, or so Nick thinks. Sara leaves Nick for a younger man she met on Facebook, and just after she moves out, Nick's neighbor next door also moves out. Nick's new neighbors, Lester, Lucy, and Rex Darkmore, are a strange family, and things appear to start happening quickly. First of all, Nick has that eerie feeling that someone is always watching him. Then Nick's dog, Bunny, is killed. Nick starts dating a woman named Isabelle, and Nick and Isabelle are both attacked while walking in the park. Read the book to find out what happens next and discover if the Darkmores are responsible or if it is someone else.

The book was an exciting read and what you call a real page-turner. However, the writing seemed choppy, and the sentences could have flowed more easily. The character's conversations did not seem like something an average person would say. They appeared too animated. The book needed another round of editing, as there were numerous spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. I found over ten errors before I was halfway through reading the book. There were even some sentences that repeated themselves.

Therefore, I could only rate the book 3 out of 5 stars. If you enjoy reading mysteries, you will enjoy this book. The grammar errors did take away from my concentration. This could be a great book if all of the mistakes were fixed. I should warn you that the book has explicit sex throughout, which might offend some readers and is unsuitable for young adults. It also contains profanity which might not be suitable for some.

This novel has good potential but clearly needs more editing to make it as suspenseful as it can be. Thank you for your honest review!

This reviews I have been reading drew my attention to this book genre. I haven't been reading C/T/M/H novel, but I believe there are lessons to be learnt from them. This is a captivating and mind-hacking read with a compelling review and I long to read this book and see what you've read.
I like your review. Good job.
