I recently finished "An Anonymous Girl" by Greer Hendricks and enjoyed it immensely! It was a very interesting and novel concept, well-written and kept me on th edge of my seat! I feel like it had serious "Black Mirror" vibes to it, which I loved.

Let the Dead Speak by Jane Casey is a fantastic crime thriller; no matter how confident you are in who the culprit is, I can promise you're wrong. On that note, the ending was arguably the best part of the book, not because it was finally over, but because it makes you see the events of the story in a completely different light.

I recommend anything by Ted Dekker. He is my go-to crime/thriller/horror author when I am in the mood for that type of book. He writes great psychological thrillers as well. I am also in the midst of reading 'The Good Daughter' by Karin Slaughter. I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about checking it out. However, note that it is quite gruesome and gory.

Anything by Robert Liparulo is a must-read! He writes for both adults and young adults. I was introduced to his writing with his Dreamhouse Kings series for young adults. He is just amazing!

I'm usually not super into this genre, but I stumbled upon Lincoln Child's Jeremy Logan series, and it's some of the best writing and storytelling I've ever experienced.

Jeremy Logan is an "engigmologist" - someone who studies and solves unexplainable enigmas. In every story, something seemingly supernatural is happening on some expedition or another across the globe. Jeremy Logan is called in as an expert on solving the supernatural mysteries. Often times, he can explain the occurrences with scientific and historic explanations, but sometimes, reality is just too weird.

I would love to read more mystery books, or thriller really, but I tend to have a weak heart to gruesome or bad stuff. I don't mean to be a softie, I just really don't like super dark books, specifically with abuse or torture type stuff. And these genres tend to be very dark. Anyone got any good, not super evil books I could try?

Mary Higgins Clark's books are also really good if you're looking for mysteries that keep twisting :D

Literally anything by Dean Koontz would satisfy a die-hard thriller fan. Most of the novels are a little dated, but are in no way obsolete.

The Dark Web Murders by Brian O'Hare is a great mix of mystery and crime, and I would really recommend this book to anyone who loves those genres.

I love these books! I read the first one not realizing it was written by J.K. Rowling, but that only made me love the series more!

My favorite crime thrillers are anything by Karen Slaughter. The Will Trent series is my favorite, but all of her books are equal parts suspenseful, thrilling, scary, and satisfying. I highly recommend!!

Just recently I started rereading Pet Semetary, one if the most chilling books I've ever read by Stephen King. If you want to take on a spooky, intense, haunting, gory, and suspenseful book, this may be right for you. I mean, Stephen King himself admits that this might be the scariest book he's ever written. I just love his amazing storytelling in this, and in other thrillers he's written. I was put on the edge of my seat, while also being left with a lot of questions to ponder. But I suppose you can't fully explain the unknown. :no-spoil:
