In "E.M.P. Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer, A newlywed couple's honeymoon journey to Honduras takes a chilling turn as they stumble upon the ruthless leader of the Homeland Peninsula. As a result of years of isolation, the dictator was able to develop his military capabilities in secrecy. Now, the dictator is determined to release an electromagnetic pulse that might destroy power systems and bring down vital technologies. What happens next is an exciting story in which Kelly, Tom, Steve, and the McBride family join together to thwart Dear Leader's terrible scheme. Cynthia and her husband, Sky Eastman, the Space Force commander, also play key roles in this story.

First off, based on the cover, I had no idea what this book would be about—it seemed to be about a space honeymoon. It wasn't anything like that; instead, it immersed me in a world-saving mystery laced with suspense. It is a quick, suspenseful read with a shocking conclusion that excited me for the next installment. How Dorothy May Mercer can address modern challenges while telling a riveting story never ceases to astound. The author did a good job of keeping it interesting without much use of vulgar language or overtly sexualized situations, which I appreciated. I must praise the author for using this series to highlight her abilities. I adored the characters' depth of development since it gave them a more realistic sense.

Overall, "E.M.P. Honeymoon" is an interesting read. There is nothing I disliked about this book. Hence, I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I found this book to be professionally edited, as I didn't find a single error in it.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes reading adventure novels. If reading about nuclear wars and political matters interests you, then you shouldn't miss this one.
