In a resort center in Honduras, Kelly and Tom embark on their honeymoon as newlyweds. While Tom explores the coral reefs, Kelly takes a different path within the center. Unknowingly, she enters a computer lab disguised as a gift shop, finding herself in the hands of terrorists. Managing to slip away, she urgently calls her brother, Senator Mike McBride, who later seeks the assistance of Director Joseph. The stage is set, and a national rescue mission unfolds.

Dorothy May Mercer's fiction novel, E M P Honeymoon, recounts the tale of a newlywed couple whose honeymoon transforms into a mission to thwart a looming bombing threat to their country. Kelly and Tom enlist the help of others, including Agatha, Sharon, and a CIA agent, to navigate this sudden investigative saga.

The captivating narrative skillfully weaves suspense throughout, leaving readers eagerly anticipating each twist and turn. The relatable character descriptions, particularly of Tom and Kelly, add depth to the story, forging a connection between readers and the unfolding mystery. The swift establishment of conflict not only propels the plot forward but also serves as a magnetic force, compelling readers to delve deeper into the intricacies of the storyline. As we accompany Tom and Kelly on their journey, the mystery unfolds, keeping us engaged and eager to uncover the resolution.

Beyond the gripping storyline, the narrative serves as a lens into our society. The inclusion of a TV talk show pondering the consequences of a power outage adds a layer of thought-provoking relevance. The exploration of solar flares provides not only a scientific backdrop but also sparks curiosity about the potential impact on our daily lives.

The author's thoughtful inclusion of her website in the book is a brilliant invitation for readers to explore the theme further. This gesture not only enhances comprehension of solar flares but also encourages a deeper engagement with the narrative. It's a testament to the author's meticulous work and a clever way to bridge fiction and reality.

In essence, I have nothing to dislike in this book. And I'll rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The book not only captivates with its suspenseful narrative and relatable characters but also serves as a window into societal reflections, all while inviting readers to actively participate in unraveling the layers of the story. With only two typos found, the book appears professionally edited. I recommend it to those who enjoy suspenseful scenes with a touch of romance.

I never really gave the inclusion of the website that much thought, but because you brought it up I went back to look. It IS very helpful. I’m glad to have read your insights on this novel and the bridge to reality. Thanks!
