In E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom by Dorothy May Mercer, a sequel to “Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War," trouble never leaves the lives of Senator and his family. The senator's little sister, Kelly, gets married to Tom, and the couple leaves for their honeymoon. One day, the senator gets a call from Kelly, who is frantically crying. Due to the bad connection, the sounds are muffled and hard to detect. Senator is confused and scared for the safety of his sister and bother-in-law, so he sends the chief of his security team, Cynthia, out to find out the problem. As it turns out, Kelly came across a strange, suspicious room in a gift shop on the island, and in her attempt to investigate it, she was seen by the owners. As Cynthia is sent to the island with her team, Kelly and Tom try to stay undercover and find out more. All together, they plan their moves and get into action. What they find out behind the gift shop is hard to imagine.

There were a lot of positive sides to this book. Firstly, the prelude is very alluring and attention-grabbing. It instantly interests the reader. Secondly, the chapters are kept short, which makes the book easily readable. I liked the author’s writing style a lot, as she plays with the rhythm of the story and lets you relax a little until another hair-raising event occurs again. It was definitely a very exciting read. I loved the spontaneity. Along with all this, Kelly and Tom’s love story made this even more romantic and interesting. I loved seeing how they dealt with all the problems while also caring for each other. The book is saturated with humorous expressions and dialogues, which really enrich its contents. Overall, the plot was very interesting, and the author organized the events in a great manner. Additionally, the book was exceptionally well edited, since I couldn’t detect any errors in the audiobook.

There is no negative side to this book. I would appreciate it even more if the story had more depth and meaning, though.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for all the positive aspects mentioned above. I didn’t find any reason to deduct a star.

I would recommend this book mostly to teenagers and people who enjoy humorous but intriguing and action-packed, easily-readable novels. The book's purpose is to tell a simple story and entertain its readers.
