Review of Presidents Day
We may learn many things from life, but unfortunately, not all of them end up helping us. Most of the time, while grieving, we make hasty judgments without fully considering the potential outcomes. Stephen A. Werbel's book Presidents' Day emphasizes Mrs. Sylvia Parrish's life and the shooting of the president.
After six hours of unconsciousness, Mrs. Sylvia Parrish awakens to find herself in Queen's Hospital on her birthday, with Officer Yamada from the Honolulu Police Department watching over her. Detective Fernandes arrives with two doctors and Officer Kaopuiki to begin their questioning for the investigation of the shooting of the president at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. On hearing the reason for her being interrogated, she could not believe her ears, and she lost consciousness. As events unfold, Stan, her son, gets her a lawyer, Robert Harding, to defend her from being guilty of killing the president. This leaves us wondering who must have been responsible for such an act and how Mrs. Sylvia Parrish got through this in this exciting book, Presidents' Day.
From the start of this book, Stephen made me curious. I was left with questions about what could have happened that led to Mrs. Slyvia, an older adult, being in custody. This curiosity was satisfying. The pacing of the book was also commendable, and the aspects where the results of investigations were revealed made me acknowledge the competence of the FBI in this book. This book also enlightened me about hypnosis and the conscious and unconscious parts of our brain. The value of family was also highlighted in this book, and Mrs. Parrish Sylvia had a good heart to understand Rozinsky's situation. Robert Harding was also professional, as I loved how he cross-examined Carl Hightower.
I do not have any negative comments about this book, and because of the above positives, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I encountered a few errors while reading this book, which proves professional editing. I recommend this book to individuals who love to read books with suspense, crime, and a touch of family.
