Against the police's wishes, Rain Logan embarked on a quest to locate her missing twin sister. Due to frequent sightings of Rain hindering their investigation, the police recommended her relocation to a different city to facilitate the search for Brooke. After several thoughts, Rain left the city and headed to Doris in Penorwood. She was found and escorted by Officer Cross, who took her to Doris. After meeting her grandmother in Penorwood, she discovered a series of life-altering events and secrets that threatened and tested Rain and her family bonds. She faced the decision of whether to save her family and loved ones or choose her own will. What decision will Rain Logan make, and how will it propel her or alter her entire existence as a Logan woman? Read this heart-throbbing narrative by Lacey Lee to find out.

The book is portrayed from a first-person point of view, which focuses mainly on Rain, as every scene narrated involves her. It reveals the worldview, beliefs, and motivations of various individuals, each with their own unique ways of demonstrating it. This is seen in Jimmy Jr.'s quest for superiority among his peers and Mayor Simon's cunning ways of acquiring Doris Land.

Following Rain's realization of her family legacy and how it kept changing her view of the world, the book reveals the themes of bullying, deceit, guilt, greed, desperation, loss, teenage tantrums, and resolution. With Rain being conflicted about a lot of things, she finds solace in her newfound friendship with Summer, and this helps relieve her longing and guilt for the disappearance of her twin sister Brooke.

The book Rain Logan by Lacey Lee carefully shows the struggle of a confused teenager who has a lot spiraling, but I love how the author intricately shows her growth while also making her childish teenage self as annoying as possible. I also admire how Lacey Lee so perfectly captures the essence of family; even with misunderstandings, family always stands together. Lacey did a good job of portraying the strengths and weaknesses of each character. The author has an incredible development of plots, and Rain Logan strikes a balance between her struggles, tantrums, and acceptance of her newfound legacy. I am impressed by Doris's strength, knowledge, and understanding. I believe her weakness makes her such a memorable character. The book came to a close with a question.

I found fault with how Leni treated her mother in the book. Given her mother's deep love and devotion to the family and those around her, I believed she deserved better. Despite the author's attempt to present Leni's perspective, I still feel a sense of unease and sympathy for Doris.

The editing of the book is excellent; I didn’t find any mistakes in it. The author's writing style is so impressive that it has my heart thumping as I read. I rate the book five out of five stars for how the author beautifully fills the interconnectedness between the different generations while intricately filling the gaps between both generations. The author also examines important and thought-provoking issues about interpersonal relationships and societal values.

I recommend this book to readers who love crime and mystery thrillers.
