In E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom, Dorothy May Mercer spins a science fiction tale filled with suspense, exploring the concept of events unfolding at the least opportune moments. The story follows newlyweds Kelly and Tom, whose honeymoon on a Caribbean island takes an unexpected turn when Kelly stumbles upon a terrorist hideout disguised as a toy shop. What begins as a mission to find gifts for her family transforms into a life-threatening mission to save her country.
 
The book's engaging narrative and well-paced action kept me hooked from start to finish. The author's choice of diction contributed to its readability, making it accessible and easy to understand. The gripping interview with Dr. Peter Kinney, particularly his insights into solar flares, added an energizing and educational dimension to the storyline. Mercer's evident knowledge of nuclear physics enriched the narrative, making it not only entertaining but also informative.
 
I appreciate the book's cover design, font, and, most notably, the intriguing title—E M P—a clever teaser that piqued my curiosity. The absence of dull moments in the narrative contributed to an enjoyable reading experience.
 
Exceptional editing is a notable feature of the book, and with no discernible errors hindering comprehension, it is safe to say that this was a perfectly edited book. However, some minor flaws were identified, such as easily predictable actions and characters that felt somewhat artificial. While these aspects slightly detracted from the emotional depth, the suspenseful nature compensated for the shortfall.
 
In light of the book's strengths and the minor flaws not significantly impacting the overall enjoyment, I confidently rate E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer 5 out of 5 stars. The captivating captions in each storyline, preparing the reader for the next twist, enhance the reading journey.
