Review of E M P Honeymoon
Kelly and Tom, innocently enjoying their honeymoon, stumble upon a terrorist threat that could jeopardize the entire United States. What begins as a simple trip to a gift shop unfolds into a thrilling collaboration involving Kelly, Tom, her brother's secret intelligence, the CIA, and even the Space Forces, all working to save the nation. E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer raises the question: Can an ostensibly harmless country become an unexpected conqueror?
The narrative takes an unexpected turn as Kelly shifts from honeymoon bliss to navigating a terrorist's lair, showcasing her commendable bravery. As a civilian, she had the option to remain neutral, but her choice to be part of the pursuit of justice adds a layer of realism and depth to the storyline.
The opening teaser captivates with intrigue, leading readers to ponder the identities of the characters. Peter's discussion on our vulnerability to electricity adds a thought-provoking dimension, enhanced by Mercer's thorough research, evident in the inclusion of images and links. The author's decision to incorporate real-world elements into the fiction enriches the reading experience.
The inclusion of a Sources and Research section at the book's end stands out as a commendable effort. Mercer provides references and explanations on various subjects, expanding readers' knowledge beyond the fictional narrative. The book serves as an educational journey, shedding light on electromagnetic pulse weapons and emphasizing the importance of readiness.
The narration and editorial work on the book were done exceptionally well, as I couldn't come across any form of grammatical error. While the book's fast-paced nature and clear language enhance its accessibility, a desire for more challenges faced by Team USA in battling the terrorists arose in me. Despite this, I had no significant dislikes about the book or its narrative, and because of this, I confidently rate E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to enthusiasts of terrorism, combat, and thrilling narratives.
