The Date Farm is a fictional story based on an Iranian terror attack on the United States. Even though the book is fiction, as you read you can sense how such an attack could happen.

The Date Farm is an action packed book that makes for a good read. It is enjoyable from beginning to end with a lot of detail but not so much that it puts you to sleep. In fact, the book is hard to put down.

I gave this book a rating of 4 because it does truly hold your attention and beg you to not put it down. I can tell the writer, Jack Winnick, did a lot of research to make the book details feel authentic and draw the reader in. The book definitely will hold your interest.

This book is the 4th book in the Lara and Uri series and the first one that I have read. I now want to go back and read the first three in the series and any subsequent books. Lara and Uri are a perfect team and show how well the United States can work with other countries.

The Date Farm also shows how well the United States can handle situations without the public having any idea of the work or dangers. This book has several historical references which make the book even more believable.

After reading The Date Farm, I have a renewed respect for our military and decisions that are made, in the spur of the moment, to keep our country and citizens safe. This book also gives us an idea of how relations can work with other countries.

The Date Farm may be a fictional story but as you read along, it will feel very real and very possible. Jack Winnick did an exceptional job at drawing in the reader.
