A Walk Through the Grapes by David Jackson is a book that talks about a young man by the name of Jace Grazer. Jace Grazer returned home after a long struggle in his life in the small town of Willow Creek. He has spent two years unsuccessfully achieving his dreams. While at home, he struggled to fit in with the family after things changed, despite the excitement that everyone in the family had after his return. Jace did not have time to settle with his life since, after a night party at their residence, he was still wrapped up in a murder case that gave him thoughts day and night. He felt guilty after he fought with his brother Dane.

In the process of still looking for his missing brother, Jace finds out that his family has been keeping secrets from him. He overheard his sister and the father planning to hide from Jace about the track. He tried to figure out what was going on and even thought of going to the police to inquire about the secrets between his family and the police. Jace later damaged the relationships he had repaired to uncover the secrets.

I like the author because he has used well-relatable and understandable words while writing the book. It is an interesting book with a good flow to the story. It has some humor, sadness, and surprises.

What I didn't like about this book is that the author gave minimal traits, especially about the mother being rude. There is nothing more we know about the other characters. I was also left in suspense at the end of the book.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because of the positives mentioned above. The editing was professionally done, and therefore, I didn't find any grammatical errors in the book. I did not give 5 because of the suspense. I also did not learn more about Willowcreek town.

I do recommend this book to readers who enjoy stories full of drama and to teens who love stories with romance.
