I long ago realized that our bad habits can somehow come back to haunt us. But Emilio Hernandez, as old as he was, didn’t believe in those kinds of things. He didn’t think that his actions had repercussions.

Lina was Emilio’s first daughter and also an upcoming singer. With her father as her manager, she thought she was in good hands. He convinced her to dismiss Greg, her agent, and hire Megan. An anonymous letter led his wife to find out that he was having an affair with Megan. While still in the process of filing for divorce, Lina found out that her father had been removing funds from her account. To crown it all, Nadia, a waitress at the Quartz casino where he always gambled, fell pregnant for him. How would Emilio handle all this, especially now that the police and Nadia’s family suspect him of her death?

I had a wonderful time reading through this book. It skyrocketed from a regular sappy tale to a mystery and crime thriller. There were a lot of characters, but the author did well to give each of them a little background to help readers connect more. I especially loved Emilio’s character. He was a loving father and tried to be a good husband, but his desire for women seemed like something he was cursed with. This was good because it made his character realistic. I loved that the author’s writing style was descriptive. It made the book more enjoyable.

This book seems exceptionally well-edited, as I did not notice any grammar or punctuation errors while reading through it. I also found nothing to dislike about it. I feel The Price of Seduction: Mystery at the Casino by Ruben Elustondo deserves a complete 5-star rating.

I would recommend this book, especially to adults who enjoy good crime and mystery thrillers and wouldn’t mind a bit of sexual content. Overall, this is an exciting book that will leave readers with a good lesson learned.

A well-constructed crime thriller that also deals with the consequences of one of the protagonists' actions seems interesting. Thank you for your great review!

Both the title and the cover of this book captivate the reader. It's admirable that the characters' imperfections are not concealed. It's a book I will adore.
