Review of The Date Farm
How far would you go to defend a course or country you believe in? This book by Jack Winnick is a suspense-filled thriller that describes the adventure of a couple. FBI agent Lara Edmond and her partner Uri Levin, a Mossad agent, embark on their quest to save the United States from an international terrorist attack and uncover the secrets behind a terrorist organization.
While on holiday at their family house, Lara and Uri received a call about a terrorist attack at a mall with hundreds dead and dying. A different attack occurred a few weeks later, and the attacks were discovered to be from an Iranian terrorist organization intent on destroying the United States and also stealing a very precious metal. The duty of protecting their country and retrieving the stolen item now rested on the couple and their team. The dangerous job of intercepting a dangerous terrorist activity in order to save themselves and their country turned out to be a whole journey into discovering how terrorism and terrorist networks operate.
The Date Farm is the fourth book in Jack Winnick’s Lara and Uri series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is a very captivating and engaging read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I particularly enjoyed the detailed explanation of every one of the events that occurred in the book, which made it very easy to visualize and follow the story. I also learned a lot about selfless sacrifice, as was boldly seen when the couple had to put the pleasures of their holidays aside to embark on a quest to protect their country. Overall, I admire the heroic and fearless spirit of the couple and their team in defending and protecting their country, even in dangerous conditions. It is a very interesting and captivating read.
Although I totally enjoyed reading the book, there was a great deal of graphic violence, which I found a little distasteful. However, the element of suspense and the great writing style made up for it.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of its well-crafted, engaging, and captivating storyline. The book was expertly edited, and I found no grammatical or spelling errors while reading it. This allowed for seamless reading without distractions. However, the book contains very graphic descriptions of violence, including suicide and murders, and may not be suitable for individuals who are sensitive to these subjects. I recommend this book to readers without the aforementioned aversions who enjoy suspense, thrillers, and action-packed novels. This is definitely a good read.
