Green river Running red by Ann Rule

Post by Charmaine Mahlangu »

This crime, thriller and mystery novel took a turn in many ways than one. Ann Rule has an amazing way of unfolding a complicated non fiction horror in text to keep you captivated through the pages. Her tone throughout the book does not sound like of one who is annoyed or holds resentment towards Ted Bundy and her ability to not get herself involved emotionally was exquisite.

The disappearance of young girls between the ages of sixteen to twenty five was alarming. They all turned out dead and strangled in ligature. The victims as it seems we're all prostitutes but they all did not know each other . From Wendy Lee Coffield to Roberta Joseph Hayes and more Jane Does , this was a serial killer that proved to be psychopathic. Woman were found on the river banks almost everyday in King County, Washington.

Green River was Ted Bundy's dumping site where he dumped all the dead bodies he had killed until ofcourse Dick Kraske decided to keep an eye on the dumping site. This disturbed the killer completely. He did not stop killing though , went on and on.

The chapters of the book was too long and the telling of the victims past was too filled with unnecessary information. The telling was not quiet good . This is not a story teller and particularly not a good demonstrator. A 3 out of 5
From me on this book.
