In Dorothy May Mercer's "E M P Honeymoon," newlyweds Kelly and Tom Turbulo are thrown into a thrilling adventure that upends their perfect honeymoon with a hint of espionage—forget relaxing by the pool and sipping cocktails. Kelly unintentionally discovers a dark terrorist plot in a store; it involves a planned attack using an electromagnetic pulse weapon that has the potential to cripple the United States of America. This discovery put Kelly and her husband, Tom, in a situation that was far from relaxing. The previously idyllic island setting becomes perilous as Kelly and Tom collaborate with influential and knowledgeable individuals to do everything in their power to neutralize the threat.

The author expertly balances romantic moments with the situation's increasing urgency. The action-packed plot moves quickly, with suspenseful moments that will keep you wondering. You become engrossed in the narrative thanks to Mercer's captivating writing style and the third-person point-of-view dialogue. The events seem authentic and not like something out of a work of fiction, thanks to the author's thorough descriptions. This book's greatest feature, in my opinion, is how the technical aspects of the EMP threat are explained simply and without the use of a lot of fancy jargon.

I could not find any flaws in this book. I rate “E M P Honeymoon" a perfect five out of five stars. The characters in this book are outstanding. I think Kelly and Tom are even better than average action heroes. To defend their homeland, they had to shorten their honeymoon. This is an extremely admirable and difficult task, encouraging readers to always consider the interests of their country as a whole.

While reading this book, I did not come across any grammatical errors. It was beautifully edited, which added to its appeal. "E M P Honeymoon" is a light and enjoyable read that I highly recommend to readers who enjoy fast-paced thrillers with a hint of romance.
