Review of E M P Honeymoon

"EMP Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer is a thrilling standalone novel in the McBride series. During their honeymoon on a resort island, Kelly and Tom Turbulo face a series of perilous events after Kelly's curiosity leads her to a dangerous discovery in a pigsty shop, placing her life in jeopardy. As terrorists chase her, Kelly contacts her brother, revealing a sinister plot to attack North America using a nuclear electromagnetic pulse. The couple becomes entangled in a global conspiracy and must race against time to prevent the catastrophic plan. The fast-paced narrative, filled with suspense and clever humor, particularly in the exchanges between Sharon and Agatha, keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The story vividly portrays the potential devastation of an EMP attack, adding depth to the high-stakes action.
I adore how the author masterfully blends suspense and humor, creating an engaging and dynamic reading experience. The fast-paced plot, filled with unexpected twists and high-stakes action, keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Kelly and Tom Turbulo are well-developed characters whose bravery and quick thinking drive the story forward. The witty and clever dialogue, especially between Sharon and Agatha, adds a delightful layer of charm and lightheartedness amidst the tension. Additionally, the vivid depiction of the potential impact of a nuclear electromagnetic pulse is both informative and chilling, enhancing the story's realism and urgency. Overall, the book's combination of thrilling action, well-crafted characters, and smart humor makes it difficult to dislike any content in this book.
My favorite character in this book is Kelly Turbulo. Her character stands out due to her curiosity, bravery, and quick thinking. Despite being on her honeymoon, Kelly's inquisitiveness leads her to uncover a dangerous secret, demonstrating her fearless nature and determination to seek the truth. Her ability to remain composed and resourceful in the face of life-threatening situations is admirable and adds depth to her character. Furthermore, this book is exceptionally well edited without any errors, making it a standout read.
I would rate this book five out of five stars because it delivers a thrilling and fast-paced narrative that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end, with a plot filled with unexpected twists and high-stakes action.
