Review of The Poseidon Project

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Poseidon Project" by E. William Podojil.]
The Poseidon Project by E. William Podojil is not the book I was expecting. Molly, a retired woman, wakes up without her husband, John, next to her. After all, John took an early flight to Dubai to discuss his newest project, the Poseidon Project. Molly chooses not to accompany him but soon finds out that her husband has been kidnapped, and, unfortunately, she has a tough mission on her hands to get her husband back.
Molly doesn’t go alone though; she has the company of her son, Lukas, and his boyfriend Taylor, a pilar in this family’s unfortunate incident. Together, they have to get John back and understand why this confidential project got John kidnapped and what he is involved in. After all, not everything is what we expect.
I loved this book, but I didn’t think I would enjoy it so much as it seemed a bit sad and confusing, mixing secret forces and a far more complex world. However, the story is very well-written, and the author did an excellent job connecting the dots for the reader to be immersed in the book. I found myself on the edge of my seat several times.
Unfortunately, I can only give this book 4 out of 5 stars, as the beginning of the book is a little too slow for me and I didn’t connect with the characters or with the plot right away. Nevertheless, the book grew on me, so it is still an excellent read.
With that being said, I must admit the editing job is flawless and very meticulous, and I would most likely recommend this book to enthusiasts of suspense and thrillers with a mix of adventure and special forces. I truly believe this book will catch everyone’s attention and make for an excellent read.
