Tropical Scandal by David Myles Robinson is a C/T/M/H novel that follows a lawyer's journey as he defends his client, who has been wrongly accused of murder. Unfortunately, he cannot prove his client's innocence until he solves the murder and finds the real killer.

Pancho McMartin, the protagonist and the narrator of the story, is a criminal defense attorney who has been requested to defend Dayton. Dayton has been accused of murdering his grandmother. Why are the odds against him, you ask? It is because Dayton has a previous criminal record, and there is evidence that can incriminate him. Despite the slim odds, McMartin, with the help of his girlfriend, Padma, and his investigator, Drew, decides to represent Dayton. What is supposed to be a fight to prove Dayton's innocence ends up uncovering drug peddling, more murders, fraud, and violence. Another question that arises is: is Dayton truly and completely innocent in all this? If this sounds like something that interests you, you should definitely get a copy of the book.

I enjoy mystery novels, which are also legal thrillers; therefore, I had high hopes for this book. I can confidently say that the book met my expectations. The novel is narrated in the first person, which helps the readers understand McMartin's working style and struggles a lot better. The narration techniques make it easy for the readers to feel included in the process of defending Dayton and solving the mystery of his grandmother's death.

I have nothing negative to say about this book. I enjoyed the book from the beginning to the end. I did not find any grammatical errors or typos. I think the editing was exceptionally well done.

I will give this book the perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I have absolutely no reason to deduct even a single star. I will recommend this book to adults who enjoy thrillers, especially legal thrillers. However, there are mentions of violence, incest, mature themes, and explicit language. If this is something that bothers you, you might want to skip this book.
