"Soul Seeker" by Kaylin McFarren is a fascinating retelling of the tale of angels and demons and their never-ending battle. The first section details the extent to which Crighton, Lucifer's primary soul catcher, will go in order to manipulate Ben into killing his own son by driving him insane. The subject of the second section is Crighton and his existence inside Hell's confines. Throughout his life, Crighton has set himself apart from other demons, even to the point of developing a tense friendship with an angel.

There were no drawbacks for me with this book. This tale was masterfully written by Kaylin McFarren. The characters were compelling, the issue intriguing, and the transitions were seamless. Her inventiveness drew me into the narrative. The tale seemed a bit plodding in the first half, but after you find out Crighton's motivation, everything finally makes sense. Before we found out about Crighton's wonderful qualities, McFarren wanted us to be aware of all the awful things he was capable of. I adore a good underdog narrative.

The jail scene in which Poe related to his lawyer an amazing paranormal tale about his son's murder and its beginnings was one of my favorite parts of this novel. I've never read a book about soul-collecting demons before. I didn't have an idea of what to anticipate from this book. Even though I've read a few books about demons, this one still astounded me. This book was flawlessly edited, and I didn't notice any errors while reading it.

I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 because it's an amazing and exhilarating book to read. Because of all the plot twists and turns, it was quite easy to stay involved in the novel. McFarren does a fantastic job of connecting the several stories into a cohesive whole. I recommend this book to people who like paranormal and spiritual books.
