Have you ever felt helpless against the threat of terror? Endgame by William Reed will take you on a gripping journey into the fight against global terrorism.

The story features Nat, a deputy ambassador of the USA to the UK. Despite leading a peaceful life, Nat's disturbing plan, which would harm innocent people, is met with skepticism from both his wife and his boss. As a terrorist attack reinforces Nat's determination to carry out his plan, the plot unfolds, paying close attention to every little detail without feeling rushed. The characters, including Nat's boss James and his boss’ wife Janet, his wife Sonja, his daughter Tanya, 12, and his son Gregory, 10, are all vividly described. Even the president of the USA, the vice president, and other supporting characters are impressively depicted. Moreover, the narrative reaches into the profound words of ex-KGB member Yuri regarding indoctrination, adding depth to the storyline.

The author crafted characters that are easily understandable, like Nat, a loving family man thrust into a desperate situation. Readers will connect with his struggle and cheer him on as he risks everything to stop terrorism. Its plot is intense; there was a shocking family experience that ignited Nat's daring plan to infiltrate the heart of a terrorist organization. The author also included thought-provoking discussions. The book tackles sensitive topics about the roots of terrorism and the human cost of violence. It will make readers think critically about these complex issues.
Reed’s rich world-building made the experience of the world of international politics and the dance of diplomacy fun. The author's meticulous research brings authenticity to the story. I loved these aspects of the novel.

This book is professionally edited, with only a few errors, and aside from that, there are no other areas that need improvement, making it a captivating choice for fans of crime thrillers. I wholeheartedly give it 5 out of 5 stars and suggest it to anyone who enjoys stories with well-crafted plots that reach into the professional struggles and personal victories of their characters. Endgame is a must-read for anyone who craves a powerful story that sheds light on the fight for a safer world.
