E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a fictional book about Kelly and Tom, who were a newlywed couple that went on a honeymoon trip to the Caribbean. While exploring a local market on the Caribbean island, she found a computer lab that displayed a map of the North American Power Grid. She suspected that the lab was part of a dangerous plot. As she delved deeper to uncover the secrets behind what she saw, she then discovered that the lab was operated by a terrorist group that had plans to send an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack to Canada and the United States. She quickly informed her brother, Senator Michael MacBride, of what she saw, who then recognised the gravity of this and its potential threat to national security. Senator MacBride then mobilised a special operations team to investigate further and make sure that the terrorist plans were aborted.

I loved the author's writing style, as it was very accessible and easy to understand. The author broke down complex concepts that readers would find difficult to understand very well. I never had a science background, so I had no knowledge of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) technology, but the way the author used straightforward language made me understand perfectly well the message the author was trying to convey. The author did a good job of making sure that these complex concepts were relevant to the plot, which made them easier to understand and more engaging. I also enjoyed how well the characters were well-developed; Kelly and Tom are a good example of that, as readers would appreciate the complementary traits they both share, as Kelly's curiosity is balanced perfectly with Tom's strength and support.

As for dislikes, I had none. The book was impeccably edited, as I found no errors of any sort, and I commend the author for this as it shows the author's undeniable commitment to delivering a well-organised work. I would give this book a perfect rating of five out of five stars for the author's ability to blend romance and science fiction into an engaging story. I recommend this book to readers who appreciate stories that blend multiple genres.
