Dorothy May Mercer's book, "E M P Honeymoon," is a made-up story mixing excitement, suspense, and love. It's about a terrorist attack on North America using something called an electromagnetic pulse. This pulse messes up electronic stuff and cuts off power to homes and other places.

Kelly and her husband, Sergeant Tom, who just got married, were enjoying their honeymoon in Honduras. One sunny day, Kelly decided to hop on a tour bus to explore the island and do some shopping. She stumbled upon a shop that seemed to sell souvenirs, and she wanted to buy toys as gifts for her family back home after their honeymoon. But when she looked around, she couldn't find any store employees to help her. Curious, she wandered through the shop, hoping to find someone to assist her, only to stumble upon a hidden computer lab inside the shop, which turned out to be a secret hideout for terrorists. As she snooped around, she was attacked, but bravely fought back and managed to escape. Kelly quickly left a message for her brother, Senator Mike, who then informed Tom about Kelly's dangerous situation. Meanwhile, the CIA had assembled a team to thwart the impending terrorist attack.

What stood out to me in this book was the story. It was really interesting and kept me hooked. I especially enjoyed seeing how the team worked together to complete their tasks, which taught me the importance of teamwork. The book covers themes like fear, bravery, humor, and working together. The author did a great job explaining the electromagnetic pulse attack and its impact. Even someone who doesn't know much about it could understand. The author used simple words to make the book easy to follow. Both the main and side characters were well developed. I also appreciated how realistic the setting felt. With its action-packed scenes, plans, terrorist hideouts, and technology, it feels like it would make a great movie. I didn't find any mistakes when I read the book; it was edited perfectly.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 because it highlights the importance of citizens being patriotic. With help from her brother, Senator McBride, and CIA agent Steve, we see a normal couple on their honeymoon playing important roles in stopping a terrorist attack. I suggest this book to all young couples.
