Morrow’s Con by Earl James is an interesting and entertaining work of realistic action thriller that is built around the topics of con artists, deception, and major manipulation. The novel is a work of crime mystery where the chief protagonist, Jonathan Morrow, is a skilled conman who plots his biggest crime before retiring.

This plot begins with Morrow recruiting a group of specialists, each of whom brings different abilities. As the schemes are revealed, the various aspects of the con are gradually unveiled, containing layers of pretenses and further plans that surprise the audience. There is special emphasis on the characters, which are well-built by James; each member of Morrow’s team is depicted with a unique personality and agenda.
Earl James used simple language in crafting his work, but at the same time, it is also very formal; hence, it is a book that is enjoyable to read from cover to cover. The conversation is intense, and the storyline is appropriately fast-paced to avoid any possibility of boredom. It is also worth mentioning that the author has been very successful in inserting complex details about the con world into the plot.

Indeed, the novel does not contain any aspects of a sexual nature, and therefore, people of all ages can read the novel. Additionally, it is evident that the text has been edited impeccably; there are no spelling mistakes, symbols, or grammatical errors to point out. Obscenity is minimal, and no material can be controversial to the religious or cultural beliefs of different societies.

In summary, Morrow’s Con can be described as a well-written and entertaining suspense-filled novel that keeps the interest of the reader up to the final pages. The intensity of the plot, the characterization of the characters, and the absence of unnecessary intertwining make it an interesting read for followers of the English Gothic novel tradition. It receives a full 5 green lights from me, and I encourage any fan of a solid con-based story to read this.
