"Tropical Scandal" by David Myles Robinson is a legal thriller set in the beautiful city of Honolulu, Hawaii. The story follows criminal defense attorney Pancho McMartin, who takes on the high-profile case of Dayton Kalama, accused of murdering his grandmother. As Pancho delves deeper into the case, he begins to see his client in a new light, and his determination to prove his client's innocence only grows stronger.
 
The author's vivid descriptions of the characters, places, and events transport the reader to beautiful places such as the beach and also take the reader through Pancho's intense courtroom trials, with their shocking surprises and revelations. These descriptive qualities made the whole story feel vivid and succeeded in immersing me in it.
 
What I love most about this book is how Pancho connected with his surroundings, even in the midst of chaos, often pausing to gaze at the sea or sky, displaying a deep appreciation for the beauty around him. In chapter 14, Pancho felt like he had reached a dead end in the case. Despite being in that tough situation, he takes a minute to look out the window and take in the beautiful scenery of the sea, with its glistening blue water shimmering in the afternoon sun, giving him a sense of peace.
 
The author does a great job of keeping the reader engaged, sparking curiosity and suspense until the very end. The twists and turns are well-written, keeping the reader guessing and wondering what will happen next. The legal aspects of the book are well-researched and authentic, making the courtroom scenes feel realistic and intense.
 
Fans of legal thrillers with a hint of mystery will enjoy this book. I did not find any errors that distracted my reading. For these reasons, I rate "Tropical Scandal" by David Myles Robinson 5 out of 5 stars.
