Review of The Date Farm
Are you ready for a thrilling ride with Jack Winnick's crime thriller, The Date Farm? The art of storytelling, written so explicitly and creatively, has never been delivered as well as this. This book has a huge spotlight on the sinister world of terrorism.
The newly married couple, Lara and Uri, came to lead the war against the terrorist invasion in the United States of America after the mass shooting and bloodshed in Los Angeles took place. They were enjoying their honeymoon in Ohio when the emergency call to service came. The couple has to run a thorough investigation into the cause of the disorder and the looming danger. Who's behind the shooting? And why?
I think my favorite part of this book is the race against time to discover what was going on. The fact that they were running against time kept pumping some adrenaline into me. It filled me with so much suspense. When the couple eventually got to know the plotters and their next plan to raid the Manhattan Reserve, all sorts of emotions stirred in me. I was so concerned about their success. This wasn't such an easy quest. I was constantly on the edge!
The story's pace and the dialogue between characters were also delights to experience and read about.
I love Jack Winnick's approach to characterization because it made me feel like I was having personal, one-on-one connections with the characters and thoroughly understood their motives, fears, and wishes.
Jack Winnick's imagination cannot be downplayed! How he was able to creatively weave events and incidents into the story's plot was a total delight for me. I kept wishing for more and was very enthusiastic about what the next page entailed.
The only factor that made me dislike the book was that, at a point, I felt that some parts were too violent and might deter some people of lower age groups from reading it, even though it is a great book with breathtaking contents. It made me feel sad on their behalf.
Overall, I looked at the bright side of reading The Date Farm, coupled with the fact that it was professionally edited. For this reason, the book earns 5 out of 5 stars.
A mature audience of lovers of thriller and suspense books should read this book. They would be delighted by its contents.
