Imagine having a normal evening shopping in a mall, and terrorists invade it. Such was the situation in the book The Date Farm by Jack Winnick. The book opens with a gory scene that leaves readers dejected but still interested in the storyline. After a shooting at a mall in Beverly Hills, Lara Edmond and Uri Levin are brought in to investigate the attack.

Now married and enjoying a time off at Lara's family farm in Ohio, the couple are experts on such issues and have to come to solve the case. Other attacks are perpetrated and are acts of terrorism. But is there a link between all these attacks? Find out by reading this book.

When I started this book, I was thrown into a gory scene and didn't know what to make of the narrative. However, as someone familiar with Jack Winnick's work, I decided that the book would be a good idea. I found this experience rewarding as I got to encounter immense action firsthand. Most of the scenes were fast-paced and offered me little time to process the action, allowing for an adrenaline-filled experience.

This book's editing is flawless, and I can confirm this because I found no errors on its pages at all, which is a clear sign of flawless editing. As for dislikes, I saw nothing discernible about this book. Its entire narrative aligns well with mine, and I am glad I read it. For now, there's one more book in the series, and that's where I'm headed next. I must commend Jack Winnick for a job well done.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its riveting approach to terrorism and law enforcement. There was nothing I could hate about it, and that's another reason why it warrants this 5-star rating. I recommend this book to fans of fiction who enjoy books about crime, romance, and terrorists.
