Beverly Hills experienced a terrible incident on this particular day. All was going well in the Beverly Hills Mall, with different events occurring on various floors and corners. Suddenly, strange-looking young men entered with big bags, but the people in the mall ignored them, thinking they were other performers. After making sure people were engrossed in their activities, the young men carried out a massacre that killed and injured many.

In another part of the world, Lara and Uri, a married couple who are members of the FBI and Israeli Mossad, respectively, were called upon immediately due to their previous experiences with similar cases. Not long after, another killing spree of police officers occurred in New York, further confusing the security agencies as the intent of these incidents could not be traced. What is the main reason for these killing sprees? Who sent them? And what are they trying to accomplish? Read on in the novel The Date Farm by Jack Winnick.

Jack Winnick is an excellent writer. This is the first book of his I've read, though I discovered through Kindle that it is the fourth installment of the series. He explains each line of action so explicitly that it aids readers’ understanding, especially those who are not familiar with the workings of politics and certain countries. The story illustrates what some countries face because of the greed and selfishness of some individuals. While this is fiction, it’s disheartening that similar events happen in the real world for the same reasons. This is an opportunity to appreciate security agents like the CIA, police, FBI, undercover agents, and many more who risk their lives to uncover bad people.

There are a few things I do not like about the novel, one of which is the lack of suspense, which I feel is necessary for most readers to be truly thrilled and engaged. Also, some of the action scenes happened too easily with no resistance, which is understandable because it’s fiction. This does not influence my rating, though. The novel deserves 5 out of 5 stars, especially for its enlightening portrayal of the world. There were no errors. I recommend this to people who love to read political thrillers.
