0Sheldon's disappearance has the group thinking about their reunion. It is what connects them now, as they have similar haunting nightmares. Ten years ago, these friends were navigating the fun of high school, having sex, and doing all sorts of mischief. However, when they venture into a lonely creek and make their way to a strange land, one of them does not make it out alive. We don't know what happened to Sheldon that day, and he has been missing ever since. The group is reunited together, and Nick Andrews, who is very close to Sheldon, hopes to find him or at least get closure for what happened to him. Join this group of five friends as they dare go back to this strange land to face their fears and find answers to ten years' worth of questions. Read The Middle Reaches (Episodes 1–8) by L. Andrew Cooper

I like how the narrative begins, as the author makes the reader understand the subject matter of the book from the very start. This gives readers who are not fans of the horror genre a chance to back out. I was thrilled to find the darkness in this book. For a book with a colorful cover, you'd need to look deep inside to realize its true nature. I like how the friendship dynamics are portrayed by the characters. It reminded me of my clique of friends during high school and the crazy things we did. One thing that I value most This book doesn't have any form of grammatical error. The book is perfectly edited and bears no distractions of any kind.

There is nothing to dislike about this book, as every aspect of its narrative was entertaining to me. Due to this reason, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There is no reason to remove a star, as it deserves this perfect rating for its entertaining storyline. I recommend the book to anyone looking for a dark story that is filled with suspense and horror. This book will give you a thorough reading of the genre.
