“The Date Farm" is written by Jack Winnick. This book revolves around a series of terrorist attacks that begin with the siege of a mall and continue with the action that takes place in New York at the Federal Reserve and Chase Manhattan Bank. These events interfered with the military signals and the government satellites; therefore, the U.S. government summoned the agents Lara Edmond and Uri Levin from their holiday in Ohio to solve this problem.

The book opens with a terrorist act of an armed attack on a shopping mall in Beverly Hills; ten armed men stage a massacre during a Saturday musical performance, and there are numerous victims and wounded persons. Agents Lara Edmond and Uri Levin, who were on vacation, are summoned to help. Their attempts appear to be in vain, and they have to realize that the same organization has planned to strike other well-known New York banks as well. Whatever the goals of these attackers, they interfere with government satellites and military communication, raising the aggression level. In the course of efforts to stop the terrorists from continuing their acts of destruction, Lara and Uri are to investigate the underlying causes of the terrorists’ actions in order to prevent the United States from suffering a major blow.

What I liked in the book is the suspense and realistic approach to events, and the flow of the story is rather fast; moreover, the main characters, Lara and Uri, are described in great detail. They have professional skills that are convincing, as well as personal relationships that add realism, which makes them easy to identify with.

I am unable to state at least one thing I dislike about this book. It informs the readers of every plan, every strategy, and every event. The book doesn't have any errors. It's exceptionally well edited.

I proudly rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars . It's engaging. I recommend it to readers who like to read thrillers, action books, and crime stories.
