The Date Farm by Jack Winnick begins when a shopping mall is the target of a brutal attack by an Iranian terrorist group in the heart of Beverly Hills. The devastating aftermath has resulted in the deaths or injuries of numerous innocent shoppers, primarily adolescents. The horrific scene ends with the terrorists taking their own lives and shouting 'Allahu Akhbar' as they go. To prevent another attack, the LAPD joins forces with the LA County Sheriff's Office, FBI, and Homeland Security Task Force.

Lara and Uri's dreamy honeymoon on her family farm in Ohio was cut short when they were called to investigate a shocking attack. As they got deeper into the case, they realised that government communications had been compromised—not good. Just as they were getting started, they were sent to New York City to deal with another nightmare. The Federal Reserve and Chase Manhattan Bank buildings had been taken over by terrorists. At first, everyone thought it was a gold grab, but it turned out to be something even more sinister—a rare metal that could have major consequences.

I love how Lara and Uri are more than just characters—they're like real people with their own strengths and weaknesses. They work together so well, and their chemistry is undeniable. The supporting cast is just as great, each one adding their piece to the puzzle. The story's got some serious twists and turns that'll keep you guessing, and Winnick's attention to detail is seriously impressive. The international setting adds an extra layer of excitement as Lara and Uri navigate new places and cultures. What sets The Date Farm apart is its focus on the reader. It's not just a fun story; it's also thought-provoking, making us think about the bigger picture.

I'm giving The Date Farm a well-deserved 5 out of 5 star rating; no errors were found, it was flawlessly edited, and I have no dislikes about it. If you like heart-pumping thrillers, global politics, and love stories of espionage and intrigue, this book is for you. It has everything needed to keep you interested.
